Western Suffolk BOCES anticipates two openings for Work Based Learning Coordinators in our Career & Technical Education division. Locations: Wilson Tech Dix Hills/Component School Districts CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: To be a Work-Based Learning (WBL) teacher in New York State, you must hold a valid NYS teaching certificate (grades 7-12, 5-9, or all grades) or school counselor certification and obtain the Coordinator of Work Based Learning Extension. This requires 6 college credits in WBL courses and 300 hours of documented non-teaching work experience. The candidate must be well organized, exhibit strong planning skills, and demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment collaboratively with industry community partners and school administration.
