Western Suffolk BOCES anticipates the need for four Assistant Principals for the Regional Summer School program. Appropriate NYS certification is required. The program will operate from the North Babylon School District and a Huntington location to be determined.Program dates:Registration -July 6, 2026Classes -July 14-August 14, 2026Regents exams -anticipated on August 18th and 19thIt is expected that all employees will work every day of the program. There are no excusable absences. There will be a mandatory summer school planning meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026. Please note, some staff may be required to work until August 21st to assist in program closure and reporting.Requirements:Valid teaching administrative certificationPrior experience in summer school teaching assignments, preferred at the middle or high school levelsStrong leadership and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents, and staffAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressureProficiency in data analysis and reporting Responsibilities: Co-Supervise and evaluate summer school staff performance.Oversee student registration and exam schedulingAssists in planning, organizing and evaluating services for professional and non-professional personnel such as staff development activities, resource management, and instructional program development.Communicate with students and families regarding summer school expectations, attendance policies, and program details.Address student disciplinary issues and provide necessary support services.Be on site to supervise summer school prior to and after scheduled start and end times, as neededUpload a resume and cover letter to apply.
