Western Suffolk BOCES anticipates the need for four Deans for the Regional Summer School program. Appropriate NYS certification is required. The program will operate from the North Babylon and South Huntington school districts.Program dates: Registration -July 7th and 8thClasses -July 15 through August 15, 2025Regents exams -anticipated on August 19th and 20th. It is expected that all employees will work every day of the program. There are no excusable absences. There will be a mandatory summer school planning meeting on Monday, July 14, 2025. Please note, some staff may be required to work until August 22nd to assist in program closure and reporting. Requirements:Valid teaching administrative certificationPrior experience in summer school teaching assignments, preferred at the middle or high school levelsStrong leadership and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents, and staffAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressureProficiency in data analysis and reporting Responsibilities:Provide administrative support to the summer school PrincipalSupport maintenance of a safe and secure campusServe as a resource for teacher regarding attendance and class behaviorManage student behavior, including attendance and disciplineSupervise summer school counselors and social workersAddress student disciplinary issues and provide necessary support services.Upload a resume and cover letter to apply.
