Western Suffolk BOCES anticipates an opening for a part time American Sign Language Instructor for the Adult Ed program at our Wilson Tech Dix Hills campus. The instructor will teach a group of beginning level students basic communication in American Sign Language. Discussion topics will include fingerspelling, ASL grammar and syntax, vocabulary, numbers, facial expression, deaf culture, history and events.Must have experience with ASL for 5+ years. Teaching experience is preferred but not required.Classes will be held evenings beginning in March 2024.
