Western Suffolk BOCES anticipates an opening for a part time Beginner Guitar Instructor for the Adult Ed program at our Dix Hills campus to teach a group of true guitar beginners proper guitar care, maintenance, composition, and performance techniques. The instructor will educate students in a group setting on the focus points of basic strumming and rhythms, reading music and improvising and will ensure that students develop a strong foundation for future enhancement of guitar playing skills.Must have 5+ years experience with guitar playing. Teaching experience is preferred but not required.Classes will be held evenings beginning in March 2024.
