Teacher aides perform non-instructional duties under supervision as determined by their supervisor or cooperating teacher. Teacher aides will:Assist in physical care tasks and health-related activities as appropriateAssist students with behavioral/management needsAssist in the set up of laboratory equipment, conduct experiments, and perform limited reviews of student lab reportsAssist in the technical preparation and production of media programsRead to and/or play audio-visual materials for children up to 8th gradeAssist in proctoring and other tasks related to the administration of examinationsAssist in the correction of test papers, recording of grades, maintaining of files, and preparing statistical reportsGather behavioral data through observation and record as requiredManage records, materials and equipmentSupervise students (e.g., watching students during recess, hall transitions, etc.)Provide prompts and reminders to keep students on taskTake classroom notes when/if directedAttend staff meetings and serve on committees as requiredOther duties as assigned by supervisor
