Warrensburg Central School District is in search of a full-time, probationary tenure-track School Social Worker, beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. Reporting to the Director of Student Support Services, this staff member will coordinate and facilitate the establishment of Restorative Practices within the Junior/Senior High School and function as a leader, as well as, a trainer, educating and consulting with staff surrounding trauma informed practices, and supporting staff and students in a manner that aligns with the district’s goals. This person will also provide IEP and 504 counseling services.Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Services to StudentsProvide individual and small group counseling servicesProvide crisis intervention support for studentsAssist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategiesRestorative PracticesServe as the primary point person for all Restorative PracticesOrganization and leading of community circles, restorative circles, and re-entry meetingsSchool-Community LiaisonMcKinney Vento Liaison for the Junior/Senior High SchoolObtain and coordinate community resources for students and familiesKnowledge of and linkage to community agenciesRelated ServicesSkill in collection and analysis of data for Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and writing a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)Serve on the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) CommitteeParticipate in Special Education and Student Support Team meetingsKnowledge of Culturally Responsive Education and Trauma-Informed CarePreference will be given to a candidate who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a NYS certified School Social Worker. However, candidates may also be a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or a NYS certified School Psychologist.
