The White Plains Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a probationary, tenure-track School Psychologist position with CSE Chairperson responsibilities at the High School level. This is a full-time, 10-month position offering a highly competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. This position will accrue tenure under the School Psychologist tenure area. Required Certification: Valid New York State certification as a School Psychologist is required. Bilingual candidates who are fluent in Spanish are encouraged to apply. Preferred Qualifications: Three to five years of experience in Special Education and/or related services in a school or district setting Prior experience leading and participating in CSE/CPSE meetings Thorough knowledge of CSE guidelines, procedures, and regulations related to Special Education services Strong background in psychological and educational testing and evaluation practices Demonstrated ability to collaborate and problem solve effectively with a wide range of stakeholders Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as a CSE Chairperson, facilitating meetings and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations Prepare agendas, schedule meetings, and oversee the development and completion of IEPs Implement and maintain procedures related to the CSE process Ensure that all students referred to the CSE receive appropriate and timely evaluations Collaborate with parents, staff, and outside agencies to coordinate services and placements Work closely with school personnel to support appropriate program development and student placement Conduct and/or oversee psychological evaluations and contribute to multidisciplinary assessments Remain current with all New York State laws and regulations pertaining to Special Education services
