NYS certification in Childhood Education 1-6 AND Early Childhood Education Birth -2 is required for a probationary tenure track elementary position. Spanish speaking preferred. Applicant should have at least 1 year of successful teaching experience in grades K-5. Participation is required in the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) - Launch Lead Teacher Professional Development Model (both offsite and online). K-5 STEM enrichment teachers provide whole class STEM enrichment and, as appropriate, small group instruction to students in grades K-5 in one elementary school. They also consult with classroom teachers to provide support in science, technology, engineering and math through grade level meetings, workshops, demo lessons, lesson study, co-planning, co-teaching, consulting on differentiation and other associated activities.Salary placement as per the White Plains Teachers Association salary schedule with full benefits.
