The In-School Suspension (ISS) Teacher will provide academic support to students assigned to the WF MS in-school suspension room. The salary for the position is $30,000 per year and will receive family health insurance benefits. The ISS teacher will receive a half hour for lunch each day. The ISS teacher will not be responsible for an additional duty and will not receive a teacher preparation period. This position is a non-aligned position and is not part of the William Floyd United Teachers unit. Primary responsibilities: will include, but will not be limited to, academic supervision and the creation of an environment conducive to learning. Appropriate New York State certification required as a secondary teacher, guidance counselor, social worker, or school psychologist.
