This is an annual appointment funded through the SIG grant. POSITION: Dean of Students (TOSA) for the 2026-27 school year, Middle School Position Goal: The Dean of Students assists with the daily operation of the school, specifically in the areas of organizational leadership, attendance, behavioral, and disciplinary prevention and intervention services with an emphasis on Restorative Justice and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). The Dean also provides leadership and serves as a resource for instructional and systemic equity at the school level and in alignment with equity work across the district. The Dean has a leadership role in implementation of Response to Intervention and Positive Behavior and Support methods and attendance initiatives and monitoring. The Dean of Students is required to stay abreast of NYSED related initiatives in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and technology initiatives and actively engage in planning, implementation, and monitoring of these initiatives across the Waterloo Central School District. QUALIFICATIONS: Five Years of Teaching experience. Working toward (or earned) NYSED SBL, SDL, or Administrator certification. Performance Responsibilities: Coordinate and Lead school behavior data collection and analysis . Lead grade level, data and faculty meeting. Facilitate teacher and building leadership data analysis meetings. Facilitate PBIS meetings. Oversee cafeteria, arrival and dismissal supervision. Oversee and evaluate teacher aides. Conduct co-teacher evaluations, with permission. Oversee Special Education process within the building. Oversee school testing coordination. Oversee updating of the district website and social media platforms. Oversee Vector mandatory staff training. Other duties as assigned by the Principal.
