The West Islip UFSD is seeking a proactive problem-solver with strong organizational and project management skills. We are looking for an effective communicator and collaborator that can work across departments to align technology with educational goals to join our team.The Successful Candidate Will Be Able To:Collaborate with district leadership to develop and execute long-term IT and counseling goalsWorking closely with building administrators, counselors, teachers, and families to develop parent information nights, address student supports and provide interventionsFoster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for our studentsSupervise the collection, analysis, and reporting of student and staff dataManage Infinite Campus and other key educational technologiesAssist the Executive Director in the supervision of the district’s websiteAssist efforts to secure and protect student data against unauthorized access or breachesProvide reports on technology performance, student data, and district technology initiativesAnalyze data trends to provide actionable insights to improve operations and student outcomesConduct classroom observations and provide meaningful and actionable feedbackEnsure compliance with federal and state data privacy laws and educational guidelinesCoordinate with academic departments to align technology tools with curriculum needs and to respond to changes in state reporting requirementsDevelop and implement staff training programs on new technologies and best practicesOversee and supervise the school counseling staff across the districtStay informed on emerging technologies to enhance district IT servicesQualifications:Appropriate NYS administrative certificationMinimum of 5 years of administrative experience in IT, data management, and/or counselingStrong knowledge of student information systems (SIS) and graduation pathwaysFamiliarity with ASCA Standards, data privacy, and/or security regulationsSalary: Commensurate with experience and WIASA Collective Bargaining Agreement Persons interested in the above position should submit a cover letter and résumé to the attention of James Cameron, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources via OLASJobs.org no later than April 9, 2025.
