The West Islip UFSD is seeking a proactive problem-solver with strong organizational and project management skills. We are looking for an effective communicator and collaborator that can work across departments to align technology with educational goals to join our team.The Successful Candidate Will Be Able To: Supervise the collection, analysis, and reporting of student and staff data Manage Infinite Campus and other key educational technologies Maintain, manage and update the district’s website Oversee student enrollment and registration to ensure accuracy and eligibility for families Assisting parents with questions about registration process and/or residency requirements Assist efforts to secure and protect student data against unauthorized access or breaches Provide reports on technology performance, student data, and district technology initiatives Collaborate with district leadership to develop and execute long-term IT goals Analyze data trends to provide actionable insights to improve operations and student outcomes Conduct classroom observations and provide meaningful and actionable feedback Ensure compliance with federal and state data privacy laws and educational guidelines Coordinate with academic departments to align technology tools with curriculum needs and to respond to changes in state reporting requirements Develop and implement staff training programs on new technologies and best practices Stay informed on emerging technologies to enhance district IT servicesQualifications: Appropriate NYS administrative certification Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and data management, preferably in education technology Strong knowledge of student information systems (SIS) and learning management systems (LMS) Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations, including FERPA and COPPAInterested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume through OLAS to the attention of James Cameron, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources.
