The West Islip School District is seeking a Probationary Teaching Assistant (STEM LAB). The successful candidate will perform all functions to support classroom instruction as needed. Certification: New York State Teacher or Teaching Assistant Certification. Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) experience preferred. The successful candidate will perform all functions to support classroom instruction as needed. Facilitate lab work in the STEM Lab. Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan STEM instruction/projects. Plan and implement standards based lessons with classroom teachers. Knowledge and understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards.
