Opening for September 2025Art TeacherProbationary Position Are you ready to paint a bright future for our young learners? Do you find joy in sculpting young minds? Are you excited about sketching out a path for our students to become creative RamArtists? We're seeking an elementary art educator who can guide our students to artistic mastery through exploration and inquiry. We want someone who can help our students see themselves as budding artists while achieving new heights of creativity. We're looking for an educator who will allow our students to express themselves freely and innovatively. Finally, we want to collaborate with a professional whose vision for artistic learning aligns with ours. This opportunity is a masterpiece in the making for both you and our students. If you are interested, here is what year one is all about. This opportunity is not just a job but a calling that allows you to flourish and become the best version of yourself. Becoming a member of the RamFam will allow you to create the conditions for students to be in a state of imbalance and then provide the feedback necessary to transform learning. We also want an educator whohas high levels of knowledge and understanding of the content they teach.can guide learning to surface and deep outcomes.can successfully monitor learning and provide feedback that assists students in progress.can attend to more attitudinal attributes of learning (i.e., self-efficacy, mastery motivation).can provide defensible evidence of the positive impacts of the teaching on student learning. Realistically, we need someone with the proper certifications. However, you need to understand the content being taught or utilize our vast professional development opportunities to hone your craft. You will be expected to be able to provide feedback that advances student learning. The successful candidate will naturally attend to the social-emotional component of learning and discuss why teaching "moves" have or have not worked. While this is all about year one and beyond, day one is good, too. There are things like compensation, the district, the staff, and the location. However, none of this matters unless "Year One and Beyond" makes career sense for you. Desired Skills and ExperienceYou're our ideal candidate if you can bring the above vision to life. Practically speaking, you should have the proper certification and experience teaching art to students in grades K-12. We want someone who helps students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and creation of art through various planned experiences – drawing, painting, sculpting, and exploring different artistic mediums. We seek a professional who will contribute to fostering a love of art within our school community and support our commitment to showcasing artistic achievements across the district. Your contributions and expertise in art should embrace a culturally responsive lens, stimulating student agency and cultivating a sense of self-expression. If you have what it takes, you know why. If you're unsure, ask a mentor in the field – if they think you can do the work or are willing to guide you, let's talk.
