As a vital member of our special education department and student support services, you will work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and administrators across multiple schools to address behavioral needs that impact academic success and social-emotional well-being.In this role, you will:Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)Perform data-driven analysis to develop targeted Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)Design, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)Collaborate with teachers to seamlessly integrate behavior support strategies into classroomsProvide ongoing training and support to school staff on behavior management techniques Conduct workshops, including but not limited to, parents and caregivers (i.e. - parent counseling and training) and staff to ensure consistency across school and home environmentsMaintain detailed records of student progress and behavioral dataPrepare and present comprehensive progress reports to stakeholdersWork closely with multidisciplinary teams, including special education teachers and related service providersActively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering expertise on behavioral goalsDevelop proactive crisis intervention plansProvide real-time support during behavioral crises and guide staff on appropriate response techniquesEnsure all practices align with state and federal regulationsPursue ongoing professional development to stay current with industry best practices The ideal candidate will:Hold a Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related fieldPossess current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certificationHave a minimum of three years of experience as a BCBA, preferably in K-12 education settingsDemonstrate expertise in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)Show extensive experience working with students across various developmental, emotional, and behavioral disordersExhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-interpretation skillsPossess exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, and administratorsDisplay a proven capacity for collaborative teamwork in multidisciplinary settingsBe proficient in behavior data collection and analysis softwareHave experience in implementing school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)Demonstrate familiarity with trauma-informed practices in educationStay current with evidence-based practices in applied behavior analysis and educationShow cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse student populationsPossess additional certifications (e.g., BCBA-D, LBA) or specialized training (preferred) While proper certifications and qualifications are essential, what truly matters is your passion for applying evidence-based behavioral interventions to support students’ academic and social-emotional success.
