The Westhampton Beach UFSD seeks a skilled, dedicated and collaborative educator to join its administrative team as Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics. This 12-month position will be part of the Westhampton Beach Supervisory Association collective bargaining unit. Minimum Requirements: Valid NYS School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) Certification Valid NYS Physical Education Certification Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience in health and/or physical education Ability to develop and implement all facets of a K-12 health and physical education program Deep knowledge of best practices in secondary interscholastic sports programming The successful candidate will: Supervise, evaluate and develop physical education teachers, health teachers, coaches and contest supervisors Possess the ability to support, coach and model best instructional practices Recruit and recommend staff for coaching and other related positions Oversee the physical education and athletic program budgets Work cooperatively with other administrators to ensure efficient operations in support of Departmental and District goals Utilize effective communication skills with all parents, students and community members Keep current with developments and literature in the field of education and participate in regional, state, and national professional organizations devoted to the advancement of health, physical education and athletics Interested applicants should apply on OLAS, as well as download and complete an application for Professional Appointment at: https://www.whbschools.org/district/employment.
