Description: The West Genesee Central School District is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Consultant (Student Services). This is a vital role responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the district's student information systems and related platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a deep understanding of the unique needs of a school district environment. Applicant must meet minimum civil service qualifications.Responsibilities:Manage and maintain the district's student information system (SIS) and other student-facing platforms.Provide technical support and training to staff, including administrators, teachers, and school counselors, on the effective use of student services software.Work collaboratively with the Director of Accountability and Instructional Support to ensure that technology solutions align with the department's goals.Troubleshoot system issues, resolve user problems, and implement system upgrades and patches.Develop and generate reports from the student information system to support data-driven decision-making in areas such as student attendance, grades, and academic progress.Ensure data integrity and security within all student services systems, adhering to privacy regulations such as FERPA.Assist with the integration of new software and applications with existing systems.Assist with State and Federal data report submissions.Qualifications:Proven experience in a systems administration or IT support role, preferably within an educational setting.Strong knowledge of student information systems and other educational software platforms.Experience with Google platform and Microsoft Office productsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear technical instruction to non-technical users.Experience with data management and report generation.Candidates must be eligible for appointment in the Onondaga County Civil Service System for the title of Systems Consultant.
