PERSONNEL BULLETIN FOR THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR: Assistant Business Administrator for Finance Job Description: The Westbury Union Free School District is seeking an Assistant Business Administrator for Finance to assist the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations to administer the business affairs of the district in such a way as to provide the best possible educational programs, materials, and services within the financial sources available. Candidates should possess the following: broad experience in all phases of school business administration; strong people skills and the ability to communicate with all levels; excellent leadership skills; and knowledge of School law as it relates to the Business Office. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Serves as District Purchasing Agent. Responsible for Insurance/Risk Management. Playing an active role in identifying additional sources of funding for the district. Working with the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations in completing monthly and annual financial reports and other statistical reports. Manages the Business Office – accounting, purchasing, payroll, and employee benefits. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations. Interested candidates must possess: New York State School District Business Leader Certification; Master’s degree plus administrative course work needed for certification (Certified Public Accountant and/or Doctorate preferred); and three or more years as a Business Manager with a record of leadership managing a multi-million-dollar budget. Salary: Commensurate with experience.
