PERSONNEL BULLETIN FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR: F.A.C.E.- Family and Community Engagement Liaison (Bilingual Haitian-Creole) The F.A.C.E. Community Liaison is part of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Team and will be working under the supervision of the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging and Special Programs and in collaboration with our F.A.C.E. and Parent Liaison. The goal of the F.A.C.E. Community Liaison is to work collaboratively to strengthen the partnership between our parents, families and community and to enrich the social, emotional, and academic success of our scholars. Qualifications: Candidate must be able to speak, read and write in Haitian Creole (multilingual in both Spanish and Haitian Creole a plus). Familiarity with local community organizations and resources to meet the needs of our families and students in Westbury. Position requires ability to work during school hours (9:00-3:00 pm) with additional flexibility to attend evenings and weekends (hours not to exceed 19.5 hours a week).Strong knowledge of school district and local community programs, activities and facilities.Understand and respect the diversity of our families’ cultural, linguistic and economic backgrounds.Experience with developing partnerships and relationships with constituents in the community. Possess skills to develop rapport and collaborate with community partners and parents.Possess skills related to maintain confidentiality of school and student issues.Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Maintain consistent, punctual and regular attendance. Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Google. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Work with Parent Liaison and Central Registration to create a welcoming environment for new families. Assist in the registration process by answering calls, providing families with resources, communicating with families and serving as a translator for written and oral delivery of language. Work with school staff (Parent Liaison, School leaders and Counseling staff) in developing and implementing efforts to strengthen student/community/school engagement. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with local community agencies and organizations. Assist parents/families with school-related technology. Serve as a liaison between school, parent/guardians, community groups and organizations. Assist with disseminating and collective surveys and assessments. Assist in coordinating community partnership participation and planning of district-wide events. Work with Parent and F.A.C.E. Liaison to conduct parent/family and community engagement activities (Title I and ENL Meetings, multicultural and social events, Parent/Community Center activities). Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging and Special Programs. Type of Position:Part-Time.$34.66 per hour, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week.
