PERSONNEL BULLETIN FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR: Case Manager in the Westbury Adult Learning Center JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete registration and intake process (entire process except assessment) Input all data into ASISTS Monitor attendance Follow-up with students who experience attendance barriers Provide students with appropriate referrals to outside organizations Case Managers will provide information and support to participants to access benefits and transition to postsecondary study or training Help participants understand the multiple pathways to the NYS High School Equivalency diploma and access “next step” services, instruction, training, and apprenticeship programming. Help participants access activities and services provided throughout the local workforce development system, including programs and services that are provided through Career Centers and NYS Department of Labor, ACCES-VR, the NYS Commission for the Blind, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families funded through the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance Attend and participate in faculty meetings Attend and participate in NYSED mandated professional development Complete additional responsibilities assigned by the Site Coordinator or Program Manager Reports to the Director of Adult Education or designee EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Adult Education Certification required unless the applicant has a valid K-12 permanent certification. Recent teaching experience with adult learners preferred. Maximum of 29.5 hours per week. This is a part-time grant funded position. Salary:$40.00 per hour.
