WEST BABYLON SCHOOLS ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT 2025-2026 AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC III (12-month) [due to resignation] SALARY: In accordance with CSEA Agreement MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either: Completion of two (2) years of vocational education courses in automotive mechanics and two (2) years of work experience in repair and rebuilding of mechanical systems and components of automotive equipment; OR Four (4) years of work experience in the repair and rebuilding of mechanical systems and components of automotive equipment; OR Satisfactory equivalent combination of above education and experience; OR Two (2) years of work experience as an Automotive Mechanic II; Must possess appropriate license issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles CDL ‘B’ and ‘P’ & ‘S’ Endorsements required [must be maintained throughout employment in West Babylon UFSD] Candidates with additional experience in small engine repair, plumbing, electrical systems, and/or HVAC maintenance are strongly encouraged to apply.
