The Watkins Glen Central School District is in search of an Elementary Special Education Teacher. The successful candidate will serve as a vital member of an integrated Universal Pre-Kindergarten classroom team, providing high-quality special education services to preschool-aged children with disabilities within the Watkins Glen Central School District. This role requires a commitment to inclusive education, collaboration with general education staff, and the ability to support each child’s developmental, academic, and social-emotional growth in a nurturing, play-based learning environment.Candidates must hold a valid New York State Education Department certification in Students with Disabilities—All Grades (Pre-K–12) or Early Childhood (Birth–Grade 2). The District is open to considering applicants with certifications in other grade bands, provided the selected candidate is willing to obtain the appropriate certification as a condition of employment.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join the Watkins Glen Faculty Association, and the salary will be based on contract and experience.All new instructional staff are required to attend New Staff Orientation on August 14th & 15th from 8AM-3PM both days.Applicants will be reviewed as they are received with the potential for official Board of Education appointment prior to the application deadline.
