The successful candidate will collaborate with partner School Counselor to support students in grades 3-6.We need School Counselor from the period of January 27, 2025 - February 28, 2025, who will:• Be skilled at working with students who may have emotional, family, or academic difficulties.• Have good communication skills enabling them to communicate effectively with school staff, families, and community members.• Collaborate with school personnel to support academic and behavioral and behavioral goals.• Support grade level teams• Transition planning to help students coming into high school as well as exiting to their future plans.• Ability to problem-solve is critical for this position.• Collaborate with county mental health to support students.• Participate in the master scheduling process.• Appreciate regular feedback, accountability and the rewards that come with doing a great job serving our students & communities.Applicants must hold a valid New York State Education Department internship, initial, provisional, permanent, or professional certification in School Counseling for Pre-K-12-All Grades.
