The WCSD is seeing a strong instructional leader, who has experience as a school administrator, to serve as Principal for Sheafe Road Elementary School (K - 6). The Principal needs to be encouraging, have problem-solving and critical thinking skills, work well with others and move a school community towards academic, social and emotional achievement. In addition, it is necessary for Principal to be engaged in curriculum, effective instructional classroom practices, school improvement and serve as the master teacher role model for the entire learning community.Principal must be visible at school events and become and active part of the Sheafe Road Community, must be able to utilize data and evidence to increase assessment scores, possess superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to build, for purposes of vertical articulation, a strong rapport with the staff and administration to ensure a consistent K-6 learning program for our students. The Principal must also possess the necessary skills and abilities to effectively manage the building operations of the school and work in collaboration with students, staff and families to provide a safe environment that allows all to reach their highest potential.Effective start date on or about January 1, 2024. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Valid NYS School Administrator/Supervisor, School District Administrator, or School Building Leader certification is required.
