The Special Education teacher’s duties will include providing direct individualized instruction for students with special needs in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics, in addition to providing support to classroom staff in the areas of program modifications and inclusion. Salary and benefits are as stated in the teacher contract. Position begins September 1, 2024. Qualifications Fully certified in New York State as a teacher of Special Education K-12 or 7-12.Certified in Literacy or reading preferred.Master’s Degree in Special Education desirable.Teaching experience at middle/high school level desirable.Experience working with students in resource room setting.Strong academic record and references.Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
