The Valhalla School District is seeking a collaborative, student centered School Psychologist to support our growing behavioral and social-emotional needs. Primary Responsibilities Provide behavior consultations for teachers and direct support to students with a range of learning and behavioral needs Conduct functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to address externalizing and internalizing behaviors Support staff with evidence-based strategies and classroom intervention Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings (CSE/IEP/CPSE) Collaborate with teachers, administrators and related service providers Use data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions to reduce behaviors that impact learning Contribute to positive, inclusive school climate Qualification NYS certification as a School Psychologist Experience with assessment, consultation and behavioral supports preferred BCBA Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification Experience in school-based or child-centered settings Preferred Skills and Attributes Strong collaboration and communication skills Experience supporting students with complex behavioral needs Ability to coach and support staff
