Role Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced educational leader to serve as the Director of Data Accountability and Instructional Services. This is a district-level administrative position responsible for leading data-driven decision making processes; overseeing all aspects of New York State Testing (Grades 3-12), including ELA, Math, Science, Regents, and NYSESLAT; and supporting the implementation and alignment of Academic Intervention Services (AIS) and the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) across the district. The Director will work closely with the New York State Education Department, district administration, and the Regional Information Center (RIC) to ensure compliance with and accuracy in all program and data reporting requirements. Reports to: Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & InstructionQualifications:Valid NYS Certification as a School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA)Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in educational leadership, including experience with data analysis and instructional support systems (preferred)Deep understanding of NYS assessments, data systems, AIS, and MTSS frameworksStrong organizational and analytical skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders of diverse backgrounds– including administrators, teachers, staff, parents, guardians, and students– and lead continuous improvement initiativesDesired Experience: Demonstrated student-centered leadership and success in complex and evolving educational environments Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices across K-12Ability to analyze and interpret data trends to inform recommendations for instructional and programmatic improvementsExperience effectively presenting and communicating aggregated data to a wide range of stakeholders in support clear and transparent communication, planning and accountability Duties & Responsibilities:Data AccountabilityCoordinate and oversee the administration, scoring, and reporting of all NYS assessments (Grades 3–12), including ELA, Math, Science, Regents, NYSAA and NYSESLATCollaborate with the Regional Information Center (RIC) to ensure timely and accurate submission of state data reports and student informationProvide test administration information to district staff, administration and the Board of EducationSpecify user access levels for assessment and demographic databasesMonitor and manage state and federal accountability reporting, including but not limited to BEDS, attendance, staff assignments, and student enrollment dataMonitor databases for errors and ensures the integrity of student and staff information systemsAnalyze data to identify trends, monitor growth, and support continuous improvement efforts across the district Present aggregated data and reports in clear and accessible formats to a variety of stakeholders, including administrators, staff, and the Board of EducationCollaborate and build data literacy across the district by supporting educators and leaders (and other stakeholders) in using data to inform instruction Perform other such related duties as assigned by the SuperintendentInstructional ServicesStay current on educational research and trends through professional learning, reading, and networkingCollaborate with school and district administrators, including Central Office Administration, in organizing and implementing professional development for designated instructional and non-instructional staffOversee the design, implementation, and effectiveness of AIS programs to support student growth and achievementSupervise AIS teachers, including conducting observations (of assigned instructional or non-instructional staff), providing feedback, and supporting professional growthHold regular meetings with AIS staff to review student progress, share best practices, and ensure alignment with district goalsSupport the implementation of a comprehensive and sustainable MTSS framework aligned with district goals and student needs Collaborate with school leaders, interventionists, and instructional staff to monitor student progress and adjust supports as neededProvide professional development related to intervention strategies, instructional decision-making, and progress monitoring toolsEnsure alignment of AIS and MTSS initiatives and practices with the district’s Strategic Plan and school improvement plansPerform other such related duties as assigned by the SuperintendentSalary: Commensurate with experience and aligned with Valley Central’s administrative contractHow to Apply: Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, resume, copies of certification(s), and three professional references through the OLAS systemAnticipated Start Date: On or about September 15, 2025
