This is a full time,10 Mo., probationary position in the Valley Central School District as a Teacher on Special Assignment as Chairperson for the Committee on Special Education. Must have Special Education Experience with Certification as a Special Education Teacher, School Psychologist or School Counselor. Open until filled. To begin 8/28/2023. Address letters of interest to Barbara Butler, Director of Special Education. Job duties include: Conduct initial eligibility, transfer, program review, annual review meetings.Review Students' state and local data as well as standardize testing to determine eligibility for special education services When requested, develop class profilesOversee the development of students' individualized education planDevelop necessary prior written noticesMaintain students in the least restrictive environmentConduct classroom observations of studentsOther special education related tasks as assigned by the Director of Special Education
