VALLEY STREAM UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT 30 VACANCY HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR Valley Stream District 30 is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable educational leader to serve as Human Resources Administrator. The Human Resources Administrator will oversee a comprehensive human capital framework focused on recruitment, retention, employee development, compliance, operational effectiveness, and organizational culture for both instructional and non-instructional personnel. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge of school personnel administration, employee and labor relations, New York State Education Department certification requirements, and New York State Civil Service Law. Primary Responsibilities | The Human Resources Administrator will provide leadership and oversight in areas including, but not limited to: Leadership of districtwide human resources operations for instructional and civil service personnel, including competitive and non-competitive employees Strategic recruitment, hiring, onboarding, retention, and employee support initiatives Oversight of personnel administration processes, including certification, tenure, seniority, transfers, leaves, evaluations, and employee records for instructional and civil service personnel Coordination and monitoring of APPR compliance, evaluation timelines, CBA required procedures and notifications, and related personnel procedures Chairperson of the District’s Professional Learning and Mentoring Plan, including oversight of New Teacher Orientation and districtwide professional learning initiatives Co-Chairperson of the District Hiring Advisory Committee Oversight of districtwide professional development, mentoring structures, compliance training, and employee support programs, including the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Development and maintenance of HR procedures, operational guidance documents, and personnel-related compliance systems Oversight of required personnel reporting and compliance with NYSED regulations, Civil Service requirements, Board policies, and applicable laws Conducts evaluations of instructional and non-instructional staff in accordance with district procedures, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations Supports personnel investigations and employee compliance matters in accordance with district policy and applicable law Supports collective bargaining administration, contract compliance, and personnel-related labor relations processes Additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or designee Qualifications| Candidates must possess: Master’s Degree in Education, Human Resources Management, or related field New York State SDA or SDL certification Minimum of two (2) years in educational leadership settings (Chairs, Supervisors, coordinators, etc.) Applicants must also demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and technology skills. Experience with systems such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, NYSED TEACH, nVision, and RecruitFront is preferred. Position Information Interviews will be ongoing until the position is filled.
