ANTICIPATED VACANCY 2026-2027 School Year SCHOOL NURSE Qualifications include but are not limited to: NY State Certification as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). CPR/AED: Current certification required. Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred. Ability to work effectively with students, parents/guardians, staff, administrators, and healthcare providers. Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered health services. Provide first aid and emergency care. Medication administration in accordance with physician orders. Individualized Healthcare Plans/Emergency Action Plans. Conduct and assist with required student health screenings. Monitor Immunization and other health documentation. Monitor chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, seizures, etc. Maintain appropriate nursing supplies and equipment. Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date student health records. Compensation will be in accordance with the Valley Stream Teachers’ Association, Nurse’s Unit.
