VACANCYJuly 1, 2025 Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction(Probationary)12 Month Position QUALIFICATIONS:Must possess NYS SDA or SDL CertificationPrevious experience as a successful school and/or district leader for curriculum, instruction and assessmentMinimum of five (5) years of teaching or comparable experience and prior administrative experience required JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Oversight of all curriculum, instruction, and assessment initiatives.Management and implementation of the district’s professional development plan.Providing ongoing reports of curriculum and instruction and effectively communicate to the Superintendent and the Board of Education. Development and supervision of curriculum planning, implementation, and annual teacher and administrator observation activities.Analyzing all assessment data, trends, and district instructional goals to drive instructional decision-making and ensure data-informed practices that improve student outcomes.Communicating effectively with staff regarding key instructional and curriculum initiatives, ensuring clarity and alignment with district goals.Supporting and leading innovative instructional work in alignment with the district’s Vision 2030 initiative, ensuring future-focused learning experiences for all students.Overseeing all curricular offerings in the district, as well as AIS, English Language Learners (ELL) programs, Spanish, Challenge, and Enrichment for All to ensure coherence and effectiveness.Oversight and coordination of the procurement, implementation, and evaluation of instructional resources in collaboration with various district stakeholders.Fostering positive and collaborative relationships with all district and community stakeholders.Providing direct support to building principals with instructional resources and guidance to enhance teaching and learning.Leading the implementation of the Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) across the district to ensure effective teacher evaluations and instructional improvement.Possessing deep knowledge of various forms of student performance data and the ability to design and lead workshops for families.Oversight of DASA, Title II, Title III, and Title IV, and experience with grant writing.Support recruitment and staffing of highly qualified pedagogical staff.Plan and oversee UPK Program.Lead Summer School Programming.Work closely with PPS office on the development of programs and services to address the needs of all students.Plan robust professional learning for staff for Superintendent’s Conference Days.
