Probationary Assistant PrincipalLocation: District-wide (Supervision of district-wide PreK program at Howell Road and Assistant Principal of Wheeler Avenue School) Job Type: Full time (11 month) Start Date: July 1, 2025 Qualifications:New York State administrative certification required (SAS, SBL). Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience. Experience in an educational leadership role or teacher-leader role.Ability to manage and care for the PreK program at Howell Road. Serve as a supportive partner to building principals in developing a vision for and systems within buildings. Commitment to the belief that all students achieve and can work to actualize their potential. Commitment to the success of students with diverse needs and backgrounds Promotes a caring and nurturing school environment. Ability to calmly, positively, and collaboratively manage building operationsKnowledge of early childhood development. Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of New York State standards and assessments with the ability to work with teams to analyze data to support teachers in designing responsive, targeted instruction for students. Effectively addresses challenges and implements solutions that enhance student well-being and achievement. Demonstrates creativity and innovative thinking.
