If you are a compassionate and experienced BCBA looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students, we want to hear from you!Job Description:As a BCBA at Uniondale UFSD, you will work closely with students, educators, and families to provide behavior analysis services that promote positive student outcomes. This position is K-12 so you will be expected to work with students and faculty at multiple grade levels. Your primary responsibilities will include:Conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and developing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).Collaborating with teachers, school staff, and parents to implement behavior intervention strategies across various settings.Monitoring student progress and making data-driven adjustments to behavior interventions as needed.Providing training and ongoing support to teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff to ensure consistent implementation of behavior management techniques and data collection.Mentoring and providing support to staff who are CPI Trained.Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy) to create integrated, holistic student support plans.Communicating regularly with families and providing updates on student progress.May be required to conduct initial or re-evaluation assessments as directed by the PPS administrators.Qualifications:Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required.Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.NYS Certification in Special Education or in related services Previous experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders, emotional disabilities and/or other developmental disabilities in a school setting preferred.Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and best practices.Experience conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with school staff and families.Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of practice.Uniondale is committed to hiring innovative administrators, faculty members, and staff.
