Current NYS Registered Nurse License and malpractice insuranceMinimum of two years’ experience caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill patients as an RNDocumentation of at least one of the following:a. Certified to teach nurse aide or practical nursing.b. Licensed as a trade school teacher of nurse aide.c. Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching nursing or nursing related programs to adult in an academic setting approved by the Commissioner of Education.d. Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching nurse aide in a residential health care facility.e. Completed a professional recognized course teaching nurse aide to adult learners.f. Must be eligible to meet NYS’s educational requirements for Career & Technical teaching certification in Nurse Assisting K-12.
