Job Description: The Uniondale Union Free School District, located in Nassau County, is seeking a candidate for an Athletic Trainer position. The Athletic training position starts in September, 2022 and runs concurrently with the Fall, Winter and Spring high school athletic seasons. The work schedule will run concurrently with the Athletic Games Schedule.The Athletic Trainer would be expected to: Attend home field athletic contests and practices as scheduled. Evaluate injuries, provide first aid to athletes and determine fitness to return to play. Plan and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes. Perform administrative tasks, such as writing reports and instructions. Apply tape, bandages, and braces to protect or prevent injuries prior to events.Candidates must have:A baccalaureate or higher degree from a program accredited by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP), or the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).Current AED/CPR, Concussion and First Aid training
