This position is responsible to evaluate and assess program participants, educate individuals and team members, complete required documentation, communicate with other health care professionals on the program participants’ IPP/IEP, assist with departmental maintenance and supplies, participate in Agency activities, assist in orientation to the department and assist with equipment adaptation We have some summer openings in our speech department!Preschool/New Discoveries Learning Center: Our students present with a wide variety of physical, intellectual, communication, and social-emotional challenges. We support child specific multidisciplinary and evidence-based approach to treatment. SLPs as communication specialists focus on:Building functional communication so that our students can fully access their educationCommunicate their wants and needsExcel academicallyBuild confidence and social emotional well-being.SLPs also address any feeding issues and participate in ongoing observation/monitoring in this area.
