The physical education teacher is responsible to follow each child’s I.E.P., and to provide instruction and assessment to students according to New York State Learning Core Responsibilities Plan, coordinate and implement the educational program for each child (I.E.P.)Function as a contributing member of each child’s interdisciplinary team and represent the team at CSE meetings, as required.Effectively oversee teacher aides, students, volunteers on all activities for program success.Compile reports and statistics required by Upstate Caring Partners, NYS Education Department, funding and referral agencies.Maximize usage of supplies and equipment according to budgetary limits.Participate in activities as part of the treatment team.Provide physical education instruction and assessment consistent with NYS learning standards QualificationsCurrent NYSED Teacher Certification in Physical Education for the age group being taught.Valid NYS drivers license.
