THREE VILLAGE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICTStony Brook, New York 11790 ANTICIPATED VACANCY2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR DIRECTOR OF PERSONNEL Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Director of Personnel. The Director of Personnel will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to our Office of Human Resources. Collaborating closely with principals, teachers, directors, and central office administration, this non-aligned position will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the district's human resources strategies. This position reports directly to the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and encompasses various key functions essential to the smooth operation of our district.Minimum Qualifications:A valid NYS Certification as a School District Administrator (SDA) and/or School District Leader (SDL).Minimum of five years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience.Understanding of school law and state employment regulations.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including students, parents, faculty, and community members.Position Requirements:Knowledge of school scheduling.Demonstrated experience in personnel development and training programs.Ability to quickly understand and utilize various HR applications such as: Wincap, SchoolFront, Infinite Campus and AESOP as it relates to school district operations.Work directly with the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources to ensure effective execution of HR functions.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Provide oversight of the substitute teacher program.Assist in the recruitment of instructional and non-instructional personnel and participate in district-wide recruiting and selection teams.Conduct staff observations and evaluations.Work collaboratively with Educational Services on the Professional Learning Plan.Facilitate investigations such as DASA, Title IX, and EEOC complaints.Manage the district's course approval process for certified staff.Serve on multiple committees including: Professional Development, Code of Conduct, DEI and Chairs/Directors.Prepare reports required by various stakeholders including the Superintendent, Board of Education, and State Education Department.
