The Tuxedo Union Free School District Cafeteria Department is seeking an outstanding cook manager to support the Food Service program. The position is for 10 months and the hours are from 7:30-2:30. The Cook Manager position is responsible for the following job description:Plans, directs and participates in the preparation, cooking and distribution of food in a school cafeteria or a satellite food program; Supervises and participates in the serving of food or the transportation of meals to other schools; Supervises all food service staff; Assists with planning daily and weekly menus; Orders necessary food and supplies to meet menu requirements; Keeps records of supplies on hand; May keep records of monies spent and collected; Assists in training new employees to perform skilled food preparation procedures; Maintains time records of food service personnel; Assures maintenance of acceptable sanitary levels in the food preparation procedures through instruction and visual checks.
