Position Overview Tully Central School District is seeking a dynamic, high-energy, and student-centered educator to join our faculty as a full-time, probationary Physical Education Teacher. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes physical literacy, teamwork, and lifelong health and wellness habits among our elementary students. Required Qualifications Certification: Valid New York State (NYS) Initial or Professional Certification in Physical Education required. Skills: Strong classroom management in a gymnasium or outdoor setting, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to adapt activities for diverse students’ needs and abilities. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate physical education lessons, including adapted PE, aligned with NYS learning standards. Assess and monitor student progress in motor skills, physical fitness, and social-emotional development. Maintain a safe, highly organized, and respectful learning environment in the gymnasium, playing fields, and equipment spaces. Participate in mandatory summer curriculum work to align PE scope and sequences for the upcoming school year. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and administration to support the whole child. Key Details Start Date: September 2026 Contract Status: Full-Time, Probationary tenure-track position Compensation: Salary and benefits are competitive and determined per the current Tully Teachers’ Association (TTA) Agreement, based on education and experience step placement.
