The Tuckahoe Common School District is seeking an exceptional educational leader to serve as the Principal. The district is looking for a collaborative and student-focused administrator who leads with integrity and compassion. Ability to use data-informed decision-making to improve student achievement, monitor school performance, and drive continuous school improvement. Create and sustain a safe, inclusive and well-managed school environment through effective leadership, proactive planning, and adherence to school safety policies and procedures. Ability to establish and uphold equitable student discipline practices through consistent application of school policies, restorative approaches, and timely decision-making. To ensure student discipline is managed fairly, consistently and in a timely manner, in alignment with board policies and school expectations. Participate in Board meetings, PTO meetings, after-school and evening events, extracurricular activities, ceremonies and other school and community functions as required, serving as a visible and engaged leader who fosters positive relationships with all stakeholders. Plan, organize, and facilitate monthly faculty meetings that promote effective communication, instructional leadership, professional learning and collaboration among staff. Conduct regular classroom observations and staff evaluations, providing constructive feedback, coaching and professional support to promote instructional excellence and continuous improvement.
