Tuckahoe Union Free School District is seeking two Full-Time Monitors to support the safetyand security of students and staff at Tuckahoe Middle School and High School.Positions: Full-Time Security Monitors (2 Positions)Location: Tuckahoe Middle School & High SchoolType: (2) Full-Time PositionsHours: 8 AM to 4 PM and 9:30 AM to 5PMPreferred Experience: Previous law enforcement or security backgroundStart Date: September 9, 2025Application Deadline: Friday, September 5, 2025Pay Range: $18.62 – $33.52 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualificationsDuties and Responsibilities:Monitor school premises (hallways, entrances, exits, parking lots, and other campus areas) toensure a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.? Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, and School Resource Officers tosupport student safety and address behavioral concerns.? Assist with student supervision during arrival, dismissal, lunch periods, and betweenclasses.? Support Emergency Management Protocols, such as lockdowns, evacuations, and otheremergency drills.? De-escalate conflicts among students and act as a visible, approachable presence to deternegative behavior.? Enforce school rules and district policies, intervening when necessary to addressinappropriate behavior or safety concerns.? Conduct routine security checks, including checking doors, windows, and restricted areasto ensure they are secure.? Check visitor credentials and ensure all guests follow proper sign-in procedures.?
