Job Posting: Strength and Conditioning CoachLocation: Tuckahoe UFSD Department: Athletics Reports To: Athletic Director Rate of Pay: The stipend amount is $20,720 annually, payable seasonally in the amount of $5,180 per season—Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer—upon completion of each season and submission of a stipend completion form. Position Summary:Tuckahoe UFSD is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Strength and Conditioning Coach to support the athletic development and overall physical well-being of its student-athletes and general student population. This role plays a critical part in preparing high school athletes for peak performance, enhancing injury prevention, and promoting a culture of health, safety, and positive lifestyle habits throughout the school community.Primary Responsibilities:Design and Implement Training Programs: Create sport-specific and general strength and conditioning programs for high school athletic teams across all sports seasons (fall, winter, spring, summer).Support General Student Population: Provide training sessions or fitness opportunities for non-athlete students to promote physical activity and overall health.Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized training environment; adhere to all school, district, and state safety protocols and procedures.Injury Prevention and Management: Implement programs to reduce the risk of injury and collaborate with the athletic trainer, coaches, school nurse, and medical professionals when injuries occur.Nutrition and Lifestyle Guidance: Educate students on basic nutrition, hydration, recovery, and healthy habits that support athletic performance and general wellness.Monitor Progress: Track and assess the performance and development of student-athletes through testing, data collection, and regular feedback.Collaborate with Coaches, Staff, Athletic Department: Work closely with sport-specific coaches, PE teachers, athletic trainers, and Athletic Director, to align strength and conditioning programs with team needs and academic schedules.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related field (preferred)Current certification through NSCA (CSCS), NASM (PES), or CSCCa (SCCC) (required)CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (required)Heads Up Concussion Certification (required)Previous experience working with high school athletes or similar population preferredStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including before/after school, weekends, and summer sessionsWork Schedule:Seasonal Employment: Full year position, divided into four distinct seasons (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) — each compensated at $5,180 per season Total annual compensation: $20,720Hours vary depending on team schedules, school events, and seasonal programmingCLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS: June 20, 2025The Tuckahoe Union Free School District, its officers, and its employees do not discriminate against any individuals, including but not limited to students, employees or applicants based on race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, creed, sex, gender (including gender identity and gender expression), sexual orientation, disability, age, citizenship status, marital status, partner status, genetic information, predisposing genetic characteristics, weight, military status or service, political affiliation, or domestic violence victim status.
