TITLE: INSTRUCTIONAL SPECIALIST for TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION Certified Position 10-Month, Full-time Position (190 Days) (2 positions available) Affiliation: Non-Affiliated/Certified Regional School Success Department Location: J-Building and Various Districts Positions follows the 10-month school calendar plus through the end of June. Works 190 days and does not accrue vacation days. DUTIES: Performs a variety of coaching and instructional support roles in computer science, instructional technology, virtual and blended learning environments, media/digital literacy, and information fluency. Collaborates effectively with various educational stakeholders: RSS team members, teachers, administrators, students, support/para-professionals, instructional coaches, and technical support providers. Designs purposeful learning experiences in various modalities for teachers, administrators, and students in culturally & linguistically responsive teaching/learning; while modeling personalized learning and best practice research in virtual, blended, and traditional pedagogy. Builds regional teacher and administrator capacity to facilitate curriculum and instructional planning, development, and implementation of the NYS Learning Standards, to ensure equitable access for all students. Attends and supports relevant regional planning and advisory councils, as requested. Maximize integration & manage the regional collection of instructional technology & media resources, The Library of Things. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by program coordinators and Executive Director.QUALIFICATIONS: New York State (NYS) Permanent or Professional Teaching Certification required. A minimum of three years of successful teaching or similar experience. Current knowledge of research and best practices relating to the Danielson Framework for Teaching, the ISTE Student and Teacher standards, NYS K-12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards, NYSED content area learning standards for students, and professional learning standards for educators.START DATE: As Soon As PossibleSALARY HIRING RANGE: $53,125 - $62,500 (2022-2023), 10-Month positions; Positions follows the 10-month school calendar plus through the end of June.
