Attendance Improvement SpecialistWith approximately 4,000 students, Troy is a small urban school district in NY’s Capital Region. Our learning community values our ethnic, social and cultural diversity.Troy City School District has an opening in the District for an Attendance Support Specialist. Position is full-time temporary and will begin immediately and run through June 30, 2022. Must have valid Teacher or Teaching Assistant certification. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collect and analyze student attendance data trends weekly to identify students in need of additional support Provide tiered levels of intervention to improve student attendance as needed Work closely with families to understand barriers to daily attendance Collaborate across schools to remove identified barriers to daily attendance Conduct home visits to build strong positive relationships with families Work with students in crisis to connect them with school-based supports, community resources and agencies Pick up and drive truant students to school as needed Attend district-wide attendance committee meetings Please visit our website at www.TroyCSD.org for any additional information
