Secondary Math Teacher With approximately 4,000 students, Troy is a small urban school district in NY’s Capital Region. Our learning community values our ethnic, social and cultural diversity.The Alternative Learning program is looking for a highly motivated Secondary Math Teacher to help lead our community of at risk students. The prospective teacher should be passionate about students who are historically underserved and feel disenfranchised from a traditional school model. Candidate should excel at building trust and promoting positive relationships with young people in difficult situations. We are seeking an individual who is driven by a core purpose focused on preparing students placed at risk to be successful for life. Position is full-time probationary and will begin September 1, 2022. Must have valid NYS certification. Salary will be based on experience and the TTA contract.
