PreK-12 Library Media Specialist –Town of Webb Union Free School District seeks a PreK-12 Library Media Specialist Teacher. NYS certification for Library Media Specialist required, multiple certifications desired. Must have a strong working knowledge of current educational methods, technology integration and Common Core Learning Standards for PreK-12.Candidates must be able to demonstrate the willingness and ability to teach information literacy to the PreK-12 school community, foster collaborative partnerships with the school’s faculty and administration, and motivate and guide students in the use of information and materials. The candidate must have the ability to serve the needs of students and parents for information, educational and recreational materials as well as the needs of teachers, administrators and other personnel seeking information and materials related to their professional responsibilities. The individual will also need to possess strong interpersonal skills along with a willingness to work in a small PreK-12 District in the heart of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains where they can work with the same student population for several years and truly impact the educational setting.A Probationary appointment will be based on certification and education, NYS Education Laws and the Town of Webb UFSD’s Teacher’s contract.Electronic submission of a letter of interest, resume and all related documents is preferred through www.olasjobs.org/northern.
