Tiegerman School is non-profit program working with children and adults with developmental disabilities. We are looking for an Accounts Payable Bookkeeper to join our Business Office. The AP Bookkeeper is responsible for recording and maintaining financial records for Tiegerman. The AP Bookkeeper reports directly to the Business Manager. This is a full time, non-exempt position with benefits.Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):Reconcile all bank accountsEnter accounts payable invoicesPrepare vendor paymentsPrint month end accounts payablePrepare month end sales report/tuition sheetsPrepare journal entries and adjustmentsPrepare cash receipts reportPrepare bank depositsCustodian for petty cashPrepare billing for all programsPrepare budgetsPrepare FinancialsProcess accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely paymentsReview invoices for proper documentation and approvalMatch invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentsEnter invoices into the accounting software systemReconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepanciesPrepare and process journal entries related to accounts payableAssist with month-end closing proceduresMaintain accurate and organized files and recordsQualifications:- Previous experience in accounts payable or related field preferred- Proficiency in accounting software- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial concepts- Excellent organizational and time management skills- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines- Strong communication skills, both written and verbalThis is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of corporate accounting processes.
