Sleepy Hollow Middle School School Social Worker ( Spanish speaking preferred) - Strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills for collaboration with students, staff, parents, and administration - Possess evidence-based skills for individual and group counseling for students - Experience coaching students in the classroom, during recess, and in the cafeteria to generalize social-emotional strategies/skills - Skilled in the development of positive classwide and individual behavior plans - A belief in high expectations for all students - Possess skills and strategies to partner with parents to increase student attendance at school - Highly skilled in identifying resources for students and families, including mental health and community services - Support building and district-wide SEL initiatives (i.e., tier I SEL curriculum, restorative practices, adult SEL, bullying prevention) - Meet monthly with the Supervisor of SEL and Community Engagement to support SEL and community school work - Ability to partner with community agencies to develop partnerships, resources, and services for our students/families - Efficiently prepare for, participate in, and develop IEPs (summarize student strengths, skills acquired, and needs, as well as set appropriate goals) for Program Reviews, Annual Reviews, Initial CSE meetings, and 504 meetings as indicated - Contribute to setting goals and developing plans during Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Meetings - Utilize de-escalation and safe restraint techniques as needed with students (training provided if needed) Appointment Type: Probationary Required NYS Certification(s): School Social Worker Effective: September 1, 2026 (Must attend New Teacher Orientation Meetings, dates TBD, & Superintendent’s Conference Days, August 31 st & September 1 st ) Salary and benefits as per the TAT Contract
